The Riesling

The Riesling from the Saar is very different from the Moselle wine from Rheinhessen, USA and France. It is unmistakable in taste and fullness - it is a lively, fresh and elegant Riesling. The type of wine and the soil, combined with steep slopes, make Riesling from the Saar unique.

Wiltingen is located on the world vine belt. Because of the climate there is viticulture between the 40th and 50th parallel. The world's most important wine-growing regions are located between this latitude. The most important white wines grow at the 50th parallel - including Reims in Champagne. Our wines are located around 49.66 degrees of latitude.

The Riesling from the Saar can be enjoyed immediately or after several years. It also doesn't matter whether it is a dry or a fruity wine.

Our wines have a perfect interplay between sweetness and acidity. A touch of grapefruit rounds off the taste. He always promises pleasure !!

Soluva - the meaning of the name

The name was composed of two words.

On the one hand the Latin and Spanish word for sun - SOL and furthermore the word for grape - UVA.

The result is the word sun grape - this is also how our Riesling tastes.

The long sunny days in summer and autumn shape the Riesling grapes.

A Riesling from the Saar is unique and you will hardly find anything better. Locations such as the Scharzhofberg and Klosterberg are world-famous and enjoy a unique reputation in the world.
